Justin Grosz Appointed to Florida’s Children First Board of Directors
Florida’s Children First (FCF), a statewide advocacy organization focused on protecting the legal rights of at-risk and foster care children, is proud to announce the addition of Justin Grosz to its Board of Directors.
“We are privileged to have Justin join the board of FCF and look forward to the many contributions we know he will make,” said FCF President Howard Talenfeld. “Justin makes children’s welfare a high priority in his life and has devoted a significant portion of his legal career to fighting for the less fortunate. He understands the complex legal system that faces those who battle for children victimized at the hands of others and will bring tremendous insight and support to the mission of FCF.”
Florida’s Children First, Inc. was founded in 2001 by child advocates, volunteers and attorneys from across the state who were working on issues affecting Florida’s most vulnerable children. FCF staff, board members, volunteers, and advocates devote their time to ensure that each child in care or in an at-risk situation will have a voice that is heard when decisions are made.
Grosz is a Co-Business Unit Leader/Partner at Kelley Kronenberg’s Justice for Kids Division, the firm’s national practice dedicated to providing legal services to abused, disabled, and catastrophically injured children harmed at home, in child welfare and foster care settings, group home settings and residential treatment centers, as well as all children harmed by the acts of others. He focuses his practice on injured, abused, and neglected children; child safety; catastrophic injury; wrongful death; and civil rights.
His long and successful career includes serving as an Assistant State Attorney in Broward County, Florida, where he oversaw the investigation and prosecution of violent career criminals. Following his many years in public service, he has worked in the private sector, achieving multimillion-dollar awards for clients, including at-risk children, in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice and other matters.
“I am honored to be joining such a selfless organization that has made, and continues to make, life-changing impact for foster children throughout the state,” Grosz noted. “I am looking forward to perpetuating the mission with this dedicated team.”
Grosz earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law. Married for more than 23 years, Grosz and his wife, Amy, live in Weston with their two beautiful daughters, Jacy and Joie.
