South Florida Children’s Rights Attorney Named to List of Best Lawyers in America

Howard M. Talenfeld, the preeminent children’s rights attorney whose firm exclusively represents at-risk children and developmentally disabled adults who are the victims of physical abuse, child abuse, sexual abuse, and other harm by state agencies and private contractors, was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America© 2017 in the field of Civil Rights Law.

First published in 1983 and based on peer-review evaluation, Best Lawyers is the definitive guide to legal excellence. The 2017 edition analyzed some 7.3 million votes and naming almost 55,000 lawyers nationwide to the list.

Talenfeld earlier this year was given the University of Miami Law Alumni Association’s Alumni Achievement Award, as well as the Professional Excellence Lifetime Achievement Award from the Daily Business Review. He has received other awards, including The Florida Bar’s President’s Award of Merit and the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for the 17th Judicial Circuit.
