Fort Lauderdale Foster Child Abuse Attorney to be Honored for Career Protecting Kids


Howard M. Talenfeld, Managing Partner of Talenfeld Law and a life-long advocate for children’s rights, will be honored with the Alumni Achievement Award at the University of Miami Law Alumni Association annual Broward County Judicial Reception. The event will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at the 7th floor ballroom of the 110 Tower (110 Southeast 6th St., Fort Lauderdale 33301).

Talenfeld, who has been recognized for his efforts with The Florida Bar Association’s “President’s Award of Merit” in 2010 and the Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award, heads Talenfeld Law. The Fort Lauderdale law firm is the state’s largest law firm focusing exclusively on defending the rights and seeking damages for children and families harmed in cases of child abuse, child sexual abuse, wrongful adoption, personal injury and other matters.

Talenfeld also is the founding president of Florida’s Children First, the state’s premier child advocacy organization.

The award presentation will be preceded by a legal CLE session on Cyber Threats, Risk Management & Legal Ethics Imperatives for Law Firms, which begins at 4pm.
